Antique long guns - Unsigned, child's size Fullstock Flintlock musket, .46 caliber smooth bore barrel, steel trigger guard with pineapple motif, steel stepped lock plates, plain steel tang, fancily carved maple stock with a bird's head carved into the handle and sun carved into the cheek rest, horn tip with matching ramrod, replacement steel butt plate doesn't fit the stock properly, 31 inch round barrel has aged to a pleasing dull brown, brass front blade sight. An interesting piece with incredibly fine detail work likely to train a young man in the ways of shooting. Musket measures 45.5 inches in length and weighs approximately 3 pounds; includes a soft protective gun sock.
CONDITION:
Good action, however the frizzen is loose; excellent overall cosmetic condition, fine bore with light oxidation, metal surfaces have aged to a pleasing dull brown, numerous small dings, fine scratches and spots of oxidation are scattered about the steelwork; excellent maple stock with evidence of pin and glue repairs, missing rear swivel; excellent-plus trigger guard with light toning.
